The Portal Between
The Kindle store for Amazon UK is so new that these initial sales are the time when a few sales will rocket a title up the charts more than they will in a month or two when it’s all settled down. So I know these figures and rankings are a little unrealistic and do reflect the time in which they stand.
But I was still number 92 for a while and that really made my day.

The deadline for judging the first round is in a few days and to celebrate/commiserate I’ve decided to put the price of my e-books down to $0.99 (yes, that’s US Dollars/Cents) on ALL e-reader formats including basic pdf and html webpage so you can read on your home computer, laptop or portable e-reader – whichever you prefer.
Both The Portal Between and The Portal Sundered will stay at $0.99 at Smashwords, until I either win or get culled from the competition – so grab yours fast in case I don’t last long! It could be as soon as Feb 25th or as long as June 14th.

With the rise in popularity in various e-book reader devices and applications for things like i-phones, I’ve got into the e-book thing through Smashwords where I can offer every e-book format you could ever possibly want.
Late last night I discovered Smashwords.com through Twitter. It’s a site that’s free for authors to use and it converts your lovingly created novel from word format into every eBook format there is and then you can offer them for sale!
I’m back writing the third Portal book and you know when you read a book you get a definite image in your head of what each character looks like? Well, it’s the same when writing, probably more so.
I’m in the process of preparing The Portal Sundered for release now and I have some choices to make. Want to help?
Sales figures for August are in and The Portal Between is still averaging between 5 and 7 copies sold every month since appearing on Amazon and being generally available.
It’s not millions but it’s a start and everyone has to start somewhere. and hopefully the release of the second book in the series, The Portal Sundered, will boost numbers in a couple of months.
There are now four reviews on Amazon and they’re ALL good!
Sarah’s book moves from the cosiness of day to day life into the realms of magic and back again with characters so well brought to life that you can see them (well I can !!). I am very much looking forward to the next book Fiona xxx
